Hold protests across state on Friday against Palestine Massacre: Joint Resistance Leadership

Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, today appealed to “the freedom loving people of Kashmir” to organize peaceful protests in every nook and corner of the state on May 18, after Friday prayers to demonstrate their solidarity with Palestinian brothers.
“The widespread genocide of the innocent people of Palestine is a brazen attack on humanity and we strongly condemn the use of brute force against the helpless people including women and children,” the JRL said in a joint statement.

“Palestine and Kashmir are two faces of the same coin of subjugation, be it Israeli aggression or Indian, we are forced to live in a similar uncertain political situation,” the statement said.
“We seek intervention of the United Nations (UN) to settle peacefully both the long pending conflicts of Palestine and Kashmir in accordance with the agreed principles of UN to put an end to genocide and rule of tyranny in both the disputed regions,” the joint statement stated.
