Protests in Tral, Pulwama against killing of Rohingya Muslims
Hundreds of people Monday lodged a protest in Tral town of Pulwama district against the killings of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
After the culmination of Zuhur (noon prayers) at Khankah-e-Faiz Panah Tral here, hundreds of people including children assembled at main Aabghar chowk and held anti-Myanmar demonstrations seeking justice for Muslims who are facing persecution by Myanmar military.
People from all walks of life while condemning the killing of innocent civilians, children and women by Myanmar military joined the protests.
The protesters shouted slogans in favour of Turkish government which recently has shown concern over the persecution of minorities in Myanmar.
Meanwhile, protests were held in Pulwama town against the killings of Rohingya Muslims. Dozens of men and children assembled on main road in Prichoo locality of Pulwama town at about 5 pm and held an anti-Myanmar demonstration.
