OIC comments on Kashmir with completely unacceptable: MEA
India has dismissed the comments on Jammu and Kashmir by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), terming them completely unacceptable, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed on Friday.
We have seen the OIC Resolution commenting on the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is completely unacceptable.
We dismiss it with the contempt it deserves.
We advise the OIC to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of India, a release quoted MEA official spokesperson Vikas Swarup as saying.
Earlier, the 42nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC in Kuwait reportedly emphasised the need for the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and called for the issue to be resolved in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions as well as the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
