Desecration of Quranic Verses
Valley’s business community has called for Kashmir Bandh on July 25 in protest against burning of Islamic State Flag bearing Qur’anic verses by right wing VHP activists.
The bandh call has been jointly called by Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), Kashmir Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (Inc) and Its Affiliated Associations, Federation Chamber Of Industries Kashmir (FCIK), Kashmir Traders And Manufacturers Federation (KTMF).A spokesperson in a statement issued here said the reprehensible disruptive events taking place in Rajouri have shaken the faith of people in general and the business fraternity in particular.
“The business organizations express their solidarity with the people of Rajouri/Poonch,” read the statement.
It said the business fraternity condemns the forces bent upon disrupting the peace and drawing wedge between the communities who have the age-old history of brotherhood and community living.
“In protest we unanimously declare Kashmir Bandh to be observed by one and all on July 25, 2015. We also appeal all the socio-religious organizations to support the call in the interest of integrity of the state of J&K.”
