Geelani issues protest calendar
Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Monday called for anti-Israel protests in Kashmir on Tuesday and Friday asking people to raise anti-Israel slogans and held protest sit-ins.
In a statement, Geelani appealed people to hold protest demonstrations against the Israeli aggression after Zuhar prayers on July 15 (Tuesday) and July 18 (Friday).
Geelani also called upon the student fraternity to tie black bands on their arms on Tuesday and Friday in protest against the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people.
Geelani condemned the Arab and Egypt governments for issuing anti-Hamas statements. “They should act against the Israeli aggression but they instead issue statements against Hamas,” Geelani said adding “this is shameful”.
