Meeting reviews tourism scenario in Kashmir

The Tourism department reviewed government’s reassurance plan launched in the wake of massive floods that hit Kashmir early September.
At a meeting here the senior officials of the department reviewed the present tourism scenario and discussed “steps initiated by the department for the promotion of Tourism post floods.”
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism & Culture Department, J&K, was among others attended by Director Tourism, Kashmir, Director, SKICC, Joint Director Tourism, Kashmir, all Chief Executive Officers, Tourism Development Authorities, Kashmir Province, all Deputy Directors Tourism & Assistant Directors Tourism, and tourism stakeholders.
At the meeting three short movies were presented showing the segments of Jammu and Kashmir the department “is promoting while participating in outside Marts.”
Director Tourism, Kashmir gave a brief presentation regarding the re-assurance plan, the tourism Scenario.
After the presentations, the chairman desired that the tourists coming to Valley post floods should be interviewed about the present tourism scenario and the facilities available for the incoming tourists and “these bites should be incorporated in the movies and other presentations while promoting the Tourism in the outside Travel Marts.”
