No coalition hurdles with BJP: PDP

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has ruled out coalition hurdles with the rightwing Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP)  saying the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) is being worked out to form the coalition government in the state.
The PDP chief spokesperson, Naeem Akhtar told that most of the differences were sorted out between the two parties.
He, however, said efforts were on to overcome the differences on some left-out issues.
“There is no trouble in the talks with BJP. Most of the differences have been sorted out while differences are on few issues, which I cannot make public,” Akhtar said.
PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party chief and MP Mehbooba Mufti have returned from New Delhi after a brief stay.
Mufti gave interviews to certain news organisations asserting that he would not compromise on the “agenda of alliance” with any party.
He called the fractured mandate in J&K a “historic opportunity” for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Akhtar said PDP will make CMP public before forming the government. The PDP and BJP have already forged alliance for Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council (LC) polls.
The combine won three out of four RS seats in the State. The combine has also won five LC seats unopposed and elections to six other LC seats will be held on March 2.
The Assembly elections held in November-December threw a fractured mandate. PDP with 28 seats emerged as single largest party and BJP close second with 25 seats. National Conference and Congress got 15 and 12 seats respectively while smaller parties and independents won seven seats.
