Bukhari for upgrading mobile, internet connectivity in JK

Raising the issue of poor cellular and internet connectivity, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Bukhari, Tuesday called for immediate improvement in the services in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Minister directed the officials concerned to identify a place for erecting a mobilephone tower in the secretariat to improve the connectivity in the secretariat complex, besides upgrading the nearest tower in the area.
The directions were given by the Minister while discussing mobile and internet connectivity issue with the Chief General Manager BSNL, R. N. Sudhakar at Civil Secretariat, here.
The Minister also directed the authorities to place a nodal officer immediately from BSNL in the Secretariat who will address the issues regarding mobile and internet connectivity.
Projects including NOFN (National Optical Fibre Network) meant for connectivity of Gram Panchayats, e-Courts Project meant to provide internet connectivity to High Court, District Courts, etc. and e-governance project also came up for discussion in the meeting, an official statement said.
