IATO vows to sell Kashmir as priority destination
National President, Indian Association of Tour Operators, Subhash Goyal, today urged 1500 pan India IATO members to make Kashmir a priority destination.
Goyal assured the IATO members and travel trade fraternity that an immediate meeting with CEOs of all national news channels will be held to request them to have a positive perspective about Kashmir as far as tourism is concerned.
He said the channel heads will be urged to highlight the potential of Kashmir tourism. He also assured to hold meetings with Ministry of Civil aviation, Tourism, Culture to impress upon them to give due attention towards the major problems faced by Tourism Industry in Kashmir.
He also assured to hold talks with Union Home Minister for removal of unnecessary registration system for foreigners at the Srinagar Airport. He assured to take up Travel advisory issue with various ambassadors in Delhi.
Goyal was speaking at a day-long tourism conclave at SKICC here today.
