Tourism fraternity pays tributes to Renu Fotedar

Tourism fraternity pays tributes to Renu FotedarThe Valley-based adventure tourism fraternity today paid rich tributes to Kashmiri-origin mountaineer, Renu Fotedar, who was killed in an avalanche on Mount Everest triggered by the 7.9-magnitude earthquake in Nepal.
Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir and J&K Ski and Mountaineering Association in a joint statement described Renu’s death as great loss to the mountaineering fraternity of J&K in particular and to the adventure world in general.
President ATOAK, Rauf Tramboo, said her death is an irreparable loss. “It is hard to fill the void her death has created in the adventure tourism industry in J&K.”
“The deceased was the only trained and experienced woman mountaineer of Kashmir Valley who attempted to climb world’s highest mountain. We have lost a passionate mountaineer who was in love with adventure and spiritualism. Kashmir will always miss its brave daughter.”
The members of ATOAK and JKSMA are in solidarity with her family while praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
