Farooq Abdulla attracts crowds in heritage Raghunath Bazar

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and President National Conference Dr Farooq Abdullah was at his usual best on Friday when he walked through the famous Raghunath Bazar in the heart of Jammu City.

Attired in black‘Bandgala suit’ Dr Abdullah waved at the people assembled on the pavements, exchanged pleasantries with his acquaintances and wished the pilgrims blissful journey. He even sat for a while at the business establishments of known acquaintances.
Accompanied by Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana, the former Chief Minister did not forget to treat those who met him with sweets. He offered the Rassgulas and Ladoos to the people at the entry point of the famous heritage market. This had been his famous pastime of yesteryears when he occasionally used to visit the Bazar by giving miss to hectic schedule as Chief Minister.
“I am fine”, he quipped with a huge and mesmerizing smile when a passer by asked about his health. He promptly thanked him for his concern. It was Dr Abdullah’s maiden visit to the city after undergoing treatment and convalescing in London for several months. He posed for pictures with the people assembled, as mobile cameras kept clicking each of his movement in the Bazar.
Expressing their affection to the former Chief Minister, some shopkeepers offered Saropa to Dr Abdullah and Mr Rana.
