Hurriyat (G) seminar today Sikh, Christian leaders among invitees

Besides Kashmir, the representatives from Jammu region are also scheduled to participate in this important event and the seminar would commence at 11:00 am.

The Hurriyat Conference (G) would hold a seminar on Sunday at its headquarters here to discuss what it called the “communal policies” of the Government of India and to devise a course of action against this, a spokesman of the conglomerate said in a statement.

He said besides the pro-freedom leaders, prominent scholars, intellectuals, writers and the civil society members from the Jammu and Kashmir, the leaders and representatives of the other minority communities have also been invited to participate in the seminar.

“The proposed seminar is a very important event in which the possibilities of adopting a collective stand against the agendas of the communal government will be discussed. The seminar will be presided over by Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani and the prominent leaders who are expected to participate in the seminar include Akali Dal leader Simrenjit Singh Mann, Dal Khalsa leader Kanwarpal Singh, noted human rights activist Gautam Navlakha and representatives of the Christian community. Besides Kashmir, the representatives from Jammu region are also scheduled to participate in this important event and the seminar would commence at 11:00 am.”
