Myanmar ethnic cleansing: Silent Sit-in protest held in Kashmir

A ‘Silent Sit-in’ was organized by International Muslim Unity Council at Pratap Park in Srinagar against the killings of Muslims by majority Buddhist population in the ongoing Myanmar ethnic cleansing.

They also criticised the silence of Muslims countries over the slaughter of Muslims in Myanmar.

“We appeal to the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) to raise their voice with full force at diplomatic level against Burma and put pressure on its government to provide basic human rights to Muslims.

The protesting Members, Intellectuals & students were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the silence of the rulers of Muslim states. Among those who attended the Protest were Syed Javeed Abbas Rizvi,Waseem Raza, President Lawyers Club kashmir Adv.Babar Qadri, Representative of Mirwaiz central Kashmir, Abdul Samad Inquilabi, Mohammad Ashraf Mantoo, Gazanfar Ali, Mohammad Rafi & large numbers of students.
