No separatist, militant role in flag waving, Sopore killings: Kamal

‘Some agencies doing it to tarnish Kashmiri Muslim image’

National conference leader Mustafa Kamal today said there is no role of separatists or the militant groups in the waving of flags and shutting down of telecommunication towers. He said it is a handy work of the agencies working to tarnish the image of Kashmiri Muslims.

No separatist, militant role in flag waving, Sopore killings - KamalHe was addressing a National Conference convention at Pulwama today. The convention was attended by Nasir Aslam Wani, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri, Sakeena Itoo, Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir, Showkat Ganai and the party workers.

Talking to media on the sidelines of the convention Kamal said, “ the waving of Pakistan flags is the work of those agencies who are working here since the start of militancy. It is a planned act to create a sense of hatred against the Kashmiri Muslims among Hindus of India. For this the central government is also to be blamed”. The Pakistan flag belongs to an independent country and has respect. It is not a mere piece of paper. The Jammu and Kashmir flag is also not a piece of paper. The two countries should respect each others flags because both are part of UNO and they have signed the UNO chapter” he said. “ The agencies are working to pit people against each other so that they could get a cause to harass people”. Responding to the query regarding the breakdown of communications in Sopore, Kamal said, “ We were putting blame on Hurriyat and militants but this time Hurriyat and United Jihad Council have said that they have nothing to do with the towers and they have not attacked any person. So it is obvious that it is the work of those agencies who want to defame Muslims.

So the central government and Home minister should speak about it and enquire about it”. Castigating Mufti government, Ali Mohammad Sagar said “ Nation will punish Mufti for forming government with BJP. He has played with the aspirations of the people.

He has betrayed the Kashmiri nation”. He said that Pakistan flags were in Kashmir since 1947 but no issue was made out of it.

“ The green flags are in Kashmir since 1947. There are people in Kashmir who want Pakistan,” he said. “ Rajnath Singh and other leaders are making hate speeches and 25 crore Muslims in India are feeling threatened”.
