Parrikar is war minister of India: Geelani

Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Friday said Manohar Parrikar is not defense but war minister of India.
Parrikar is war minister of India - GeelaniIn a statement Geelani condemned the approach of New Delhi that on one hand they are “killing the unarmed and innocent civilians in Kashmir in secret operations and on the other hand they don’t allow us to express our sympathies and condolences with the bereaved families.”
He said that soon after the statement of defence minister Manohar Parrikar wherein he said “will use terrorism against terrorism and will start target killings to eliminate the terrorism”, a mysterious killing process started in the Valley. Expressing his surprise over the open confession of the defence minister, Geelani said, “How can the minister of a so-called biggest democracy in the world talk like a gangster and how can he speak about the creation of government backed terrorists. India is a fascist state with a communal government and this is not any crime for them.”
“Manohar Parrikar is not the defense minister of India but he is actually the minister of war. Jammu & Kashmir is not any legal part of India but it is an internationally accepted disputed territory which India is holding only with the help of its military power. We have sacrificed about six lakh lives till date against this illegal control and we will continue to do so in the future till the presence of a single Indian solider on this soil,” he alleged.
He also criticized chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed for ‘taking 15 days to react to the innocent killings in Sopore and said it showed the seriousness of a chief minister of a state and he then enacted a drama in the unified command meeting.
Strongly condemning the government action of creating curfew like situation in the entire Valley and sabotaging the peaceful programs of the separatist leadership by placing strict restrictions over their movements, Hurriyat (G) said, “Mufti led communal government has broken all the records of suppression and have completely choked the political space of the opposition.”
Meanwhile despite strict restrictions, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leaders Ameer Hamza, Raja Mehraj-ud-din, Mir Hafizullah, Mohammad Yousuf Falahi, Hafiz Bashir Ahmad Farooqi, Bashir Ahmad Qurashi, Abdul Gani Bhat, Ghulam Mohiudin Andrabi, Shaikh Mohammad Ramzan and Salman Yousuf were succeeded in reaching Sopore and led different protest marches in the town.
