Green Valley lifts U-19 girls’ volleyball title

Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) girls’ on Monday lifted the Under-19 Inter-School Volleyball title defeating Mallinson Girls School in the finals played at Government Girls High School Chattabal, here.

The event was organized by District Srinagar wing of the Youth Services and Sports department and in it institutes from all over Srinagar city participated. In the final, GVEI girls defeated Mallinson girls in the closely fought contest and lifted the district title.

The management of the institute has congratulated the team and its officials for bringing laurels for the Institute.

“It is proud moment for us that our girls have emerged as district champions in Under-19 Volleyball event. It is not a small achievement as in the event almost all the institute of the city participated,” a statement said quoting Chairman GVEI.
