Terming July 13 as milestone for Kashmir movement, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah today said, the “power hungry” politicians of State have no right to commemorate the day.
July 13 milestone for Kashmir movement - ShahHe appealed people to “march towards martyr’s graveyard” on July 13  to express solidarity with the martyrs and to offer Fateha prayers there.
“The July 13 martyrs didn’t sacrifice their precious lives for any material gains but for liberating the nation from the clutches of oppressed regime,” Shah while paying tributes to martyrs of the day said.
Shah said the future of Jammu and Kashmir was yet to be  decided and the mission of July 13 martyrs will not be accomplished till the people of the State are given their inalienable right to decide their future.
Coming down heavily on “pro-India politicians”, Shabir Ahmad Shah said, “Those who are hand in glove with New Delhi in inflicting brutalities and tyranny on the innocent people of Kashmir and have incarcerated the resistance leadership of the State have no right to express their affiliation with July 13 martyrs and present garlands on their graveyards.”
“How is it justified that these power hungry politicians commemorate the day when they are repeating the same tactics against which these martyrs laid down their lives. The martyrs offered sacrifices to wipe out the shadows of oppression and their mission is underway till this day against the oppressors of present time,” Shah said.
Shah has appealed people to observe shutdown and “reach martyrs’ graveyard on July 13 to offer congregational Fateha prayers there.
