People across LoC pay tributes to Sardar Qayyum

 Former President and Prime Minister of Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) , Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan’s death has been widely condoled across the Line of Control.
People across LoC pay tributes to Sardar QayyumThe Prime Minister of PaK Chaudhry Abdul Majeed while expressing regret over Sardar Qayyum’s demise termed him a great statesman and legend of the region.
The premier while paying tributes to Sardar Qayyum further said, PaK residents will never forget his contribution towards the development of the region.
“It was Sardar Qayyum who showed us how to live, talk and behave with elders and political workers,” PaK Prime Minister added.

PML (N) PaK President and leader of opposition in PaK Legislature, former Prime Minister PaK Raja Farooq Haider Khan and former Speaker PaK Legislative Assembly have also expressed condolence over the demise of Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan.
In a messages of condolence to the bereaved family, they termed the death of Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, a great loss for the Kashmir struggle besides to the people and the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir.
 Rehabilitation Minister of PaK said Pakistan administered Kashmir people have lost their “political father” who also was a “political institution”.
“The vacuum created by the death of Sardar Qayyum will never be filled. However, we will follow his mission and vision to serve the people of PaK and will continue to support the ongoing movement in Kashmir, ” he said.
 “Whatever we have in PaK was the outcome of the political struggle of Sardar Qayyum and the best tribute to him was to remain loyal with PaK, Pakistan and ensure the implementation of merit in the region,” PaK Rehabilitation Minister added.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Secretary General Shah Ghulam Qadir said, Sardar Qayyum was a dedicated and honest man who guided us how to serve the people.
“His simplicity, softness and leadership qualities would remain main source of inspiration for the political workers forever,” he said.
The PML (N) leader said people of PaK will never forget his services to bring PaK at par with other provinces in education and other fields.
Chairman All Parties Hurriat Conference (APHC) (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said Sardar Qayyum’s services would be remembered forever.
Calling him a great leader, Mirwaiz said, “I met and travelled along with him in Europe and America and found him a perfect leader and a man of vision.”
Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani said, Sardar Qayyum’s has contributed a lot at various levels for the ongoing movement and his demise is an irreparable loss to the Kashmiri people across the LoC.
JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik today while expressing grief and sorrow over Sardar Qayyum’s demise said his replacement will be hard to find.
Paying tributes to Sardar Qayyum’s, Yasin Malik said, “He till his last remained wedded to the Kashmir cause and today when he has left for heavenly abode, we express solidarity with his bereaved family.”
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) PaK Chief Barrister Sultan said, “Sardar Qayyum has given us an identity and institution.”
The best tribute to late Qayyum is to follow his true and sincere footprints.
Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah today while  paying tributes to Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan said the contribution of Late Sardar Qayyum to Kashmir is exemplary.
He dedicated his whole life for Kashmir cause, Shah said.
 “To seek the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu Kashmir, Sardar Khan as a Chairman of Kashmir Committee approached every global forum and raised his voice there. He was a pioneer of peace but also took to battlefield in times of need,” Shah said.
J and K High Court Bar Association today while expressing grief over the demise said, Sardar Qayyum Khan was the pioneer of the Kashmir struggle and in his capacity as President and Prime Minister of PaK, he worked very hard for the people of J and K and highlighted the Kashmir struggle at every international forum wherever and whenever possible.
The members of Bar Association also expressed their sympathy with the bereaved family and more particularly with Sardar Attiq-ul-lah Khan; the son of the late leader who the Bar statement said is also a “champion of Kashmir struggle”.
The Panthers Party today in its statement expressed shock over the demise of Sardar Qayyum Khan, former Prime Minister and President of Pak.
Bhim Singh in his condolence message to Sardar Attique Khan expressed sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family which he said  has been actively engaged in the State Affairs for decades.
Jammu & Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM) chief patron Maulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari while expressing sorrow and grief over the demise said that Late Sardar Qayyum played a vital role to address the Kashmir dispute on various international forums.
“We can never forget his contributions towards Kashmir  struggle and his death has created a void,” he said, adding, besides being a great diplomat and a great politician of all times, Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan was also a great sympathizer of Kashmir movement, who had a dream of a “Free Kashmir”.
JKIM statement said that its senior vice-president  & representative of JKIM in Pakistan, Mir Tahir Masood participated in the funeral procession of late leader.
Chairman and Hurriyat (M) leader Javaid Ahmad Mir today while expressing sorrow over the demise said, Sardar Abdul Qayyum played a vital role to address the Kashmir dispute in various international forums.
He said besides being a great diplomat and a great politician of all times, Sardar Qayyum was also a great sympathizer of the Kashmir movement, who throughout his life supported the Kashmir struggle politically, morally and diplomatically.
Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat while expressing  grief over the demise said,  Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan was one the founders of the Kashmir Movement and the supreme leader of the Muslim Conference.
He termed the demise of former PaK President, Sardar Qayyum a great loss for both the side of Jammu and Kashmir.
Zaffer said Sardar Qayyum had been urging India and Pakistan to settle the dispute according to whishes of Kashmiris since 1931.
Former APHC (M) Chairman and President Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Prof Abdul Gani Bhat today while expressing regret over the demise of former PaK President Sardar Qayyum said, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have lost a great leader.
“His struggle for Kashmiri people and his contribution towards strengthening democratic system in the region will always be remembered,” he said.
Bhat expressed sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed today while expressing sorrow over Sardar Qayyum demise said, late leader commanded a deep respect in the entire Kashmir.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU lauded the political and social services rendered by Sardar Qayyum for the people of PaK and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant patience to the bereaved family to bear the great loss.
Sardar Qayyum Khan was a Synonym for courage and impudence: Dr. Fai
 Ghulam-Nabi Fai in his statement from Washington also expressed condolences over the demise of Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan.
 “Sardar Qayyum Khan was a captivating personality, iconic leader with prudence, shrewdness and judiciousness. He was a legendary and eminent politician who rendered his services for upholding the human and political rights of the people of the State, Fai said, adding, “His advocacy of the cause of Kashmir at the corridors of power at international capitols have had a lasting impact on the policy makers, where he used to make a persuasive and convincing case for the resolution of Kashmir issue.”
