Separate law necessary to punish Pak flag wavers: RSS

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) ideologue Indresh Kumar has called for enacting a law to punish individuals indulging in pro-Pakistan public posturing, including hoisting of green crescent flags.

Separate law necessary to punish Pak flag wavers - RSSTalking to reporters in Karnal, he said it was against the basic tenets of Islam to show solidarity with another country instead of one’s motherland.

“Hoisting Pakistani flags or raising slogans in its favour is totally unacceptable to the Indian society. Be it Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat or any other part of the country, Indian constitution should not tolerate Pakistan sympathisers. There is an urgent need to enact a law to award punishment to such elements,” Kumar reportedly.

Kumar, also patron of the RSS-backed Muslim Rashtriya Manch, said those who raise slogans like ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in India must be immediately declared as traitors and the law of the land must deal with them.

“Those who have no love for India but the neighbouring country should be sent to Pakistan. Such people should not have any space in the country,” he said.

However, Kumar evaded a direct reply to questions on Article 370 and the Ayodhya issue, and said, “You should wait and watch”.
