Tourism bodies join hands to promote Kashmir tourism

Kashmir-based tourism trade organizations today vowed to work together for the promotion of tourism industry in the Valley.

Tourism bodies join hands to promote Kashmir tourismAt a meeting held here today the heads of tourism trade organizations including KHAROF, KHARA, TAAK, JKTA, AKTO, UTAA, ATOAK, DTOAK, TAAI – JKC, IATO – JKC & ADTOI – JKC vowed to promote tourism collectively and seek redress of the problems confronting this industry.

The meeting unanimously decided to appoint Nasir Shah of CNE as “official coordinator.” In this regard a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed.

Later, a delegation of the representatives presented a copy of this MoU to Director Tourism – Kashmir, Farooq A Shah .

The representatives assured the director of their complete cooperation to support the “endeavors of Chief Minister and the department to promote and protect tourism activity.”

The members also thanked director tourism “for his efforts in mitigating the problems confronting tourism trade,” a statement here said.
