Wi max services continues to be shut

For over a fortnight now the Wi Max services in Jammu and Kashmir remain to be shut with BSNL authorities playing indifferent to the subscribers’ woes.

Wi max services continues to be shutThe agitated subscribers Thursday accused the BSNL authorities of cheating them every day with false promises about restoring the services in a day or so.

“The staff on Wi Max complaints number 2457184 have stock reply to all complainants, ‘we are at it and service is being restored’,” they said. Unconfirmed reports said the Wi Max service has been suspended in the state under some government of India directive. The BSNL authorities have been saying that there was some technical snag at Jammu facility which is being looked into.

As earlier reported the withdrawal of service has adversely affected many business houses and ordinary subscribers. “We feel harassed in view of the callous attitude shown by BSNL authorities towards us,” the subscribers said.  “Earlier, the BSNL authorities used to attribute the disruption in the Wi Max services to some technical snag in Bangalore or Chandigarh or NCR Gurgaon. This time they are attributing it to some snag at Jammu,” the subscribers said.When contacted BSNL PRO Masood Bala said: “There is some technical issue into the services. We are looking into it.”
