Restrictions imposed in and around Islamabad town
Restrictions are continuously imposed in Islamabad town and around in south Kashmir which witnessed protests over the death of Udhampur petrol bomb attack victim Zahid Rasool Bhat.
Police said the restrictions were imposed to maintain law and order.
Many areas in Islamabad had yesterday observed a spontaneous shutdown to protest against the death of Zahid.
Yesterday, clashes between protesting youth and government forces were reported from Batengoo, the native village of Zahid, as also Goriwan-Bijbehara and Islamabad town and Qaimoh and Khudwani in Kulgam district.
Zahid was injured on October 9 when his truck, that was en route to Kashmir from Jammu, was attacked with petrol bombs. The driver of the truck Showkat Ahmed is also admitted in the hospital.
