Forces are running wild in downtown: Geelani

Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that the government forces went wild in the downtown area of the Nowhatta and broke windows of dozens of residential houses and  mosques.

Geelani said that the police and the CRPF personals damaged dozens of vehicles parked on the roads in the downtown area of the Srinagar which is sheer hooliganism on the part of the government forces. While lashing out at the RSS backed state government, the senior separatist leader said, “The PDP led RSS government in Jammu & Kashmir is on the killing spree in the Kashmir valley and they are doing all this to appease their masters in New Delhi so that they can prove their loyalty.” He added, “The state of Jammu & Kashmir has turned into a battle ground where government forces are using excessive and brutal forces against the common public who are peacefully protesting for their just demands.”

 Geelani also mentioned that on one hand the occupational forces of India are killing our innocent children and on the other hand they are not being allowed to mourn the killings of their loved ones. “It is the worst kind of state terrorism which the people of Jammu & Kashmir are facing from last 68 years.”
