‘Ladakh to emerge as defecation free region’
“The Ladakh should emerge as the defecation free by changing the practices of the people through Mission Swachh Bharat,’ said Deputy Director Rural Sanitation in an awareness camp organized at Numa, 183 kms away from Leh.
The awareness camp is the one among series of programs held here in Ladakh to sanitize the locals about the sanitation and its various components, organized jointly by National Welfare Forum an NGO with Rural Sanitation Department Kashmir.
Ahmad Hussain Bhat , Deputy Director Rural Sanitation while speaking on the occasion said, “Ladakh is all set to emerge as the first region to be declared as the defecation free provided the locals join hands in the Mission Swachh Bharat.”
