BJP appeasing separatists, says Congress
Former minister and senior vice-president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Sham Lal Sharma today said instead of addressing the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu region the BJP was “concerned about appeasingg separatist groups”.
Addressing a meeting of party workers at Akhnoor, Sharma said: “The people of Jammu region are feeling betrayed as the BJP is busy appeasing anti-national forces.”
Emphasising the day-to-day problems being faced by the masses, Sharma regretted that miseries of people were mounting and BJP leaders were “shamelessly indulging into deceitful tactics”.
He said the administration had virtually collapsed and most of the development projects were halted.
Sharma also expressed concern over the non-funding of the works which were at the final stage of completion during the NC-Congress rule in the state. He further accused the ruling BJP of “patronising” corruption, saying the party had put all postings and transfers on “sale”.
