Lack of parking space at political parties’ offices creates traffic chaos

Lack of parking space at political parties’ offices creates traffic chaosAll the major political parties of Jammu and Kashmir do not have parking space at their party headquarters in Jammu, which creates major traffic chaos during any function in the party office.
All the main political parties have their party headquarters in Jammu, from where they operate, but interestingly all these party offices do not have parking space for vehicles of their leaders and workers. However, the BJP, which claims to have a small lot of parking space, is working in an unsafe building located at the most crowded place of the city, which disrupts the traffic for hours together during a small function at the party headquarters.
As far as the Congress is concerned, the location of the party headquarters makes the traffic movement worst on the Residency Road, which connects to the official residence of the Chief Minister in the winter capital. The party leaders and workers use to park their vehicles on the roadside, which not only creates hurdles for the passersby, but also disrupts the movement towards the CM residence.
The National Conference (NC), which has ruled the state more than any other party, has a dedicated building in a posh locality of the city near Raghunath temple. Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, the party headquarters of the NC, has the same problem of lack of parking space. The tall leaders of the party park their vehicle inside the building. However, other leaders and the party workers use to park their vehicles on the roadside, which not only creates chaos, but also increases the problems for the traffic police.
The largest party of the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is operating from a government accommodation, which also does not have parking space and everyone use to park their vehicles on the roadside.
Ironically, the Traffic Department also ignores the mess created by the political parties. When contacted, the senior officials of the department refused to comment on the issue.
