Cong tells PDP, BJP to clear air on govt formationThe Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has asked the PDP and the BJP to shun public posturing and come clear on the issue of government formation in the state as people were suffering because of the political uncertainty created by them.
Addressing a meeting of senior Congress leaders at the party headquarters here today, JKPCC president Ghulam Ahmad Mir said the people of the state had been pushed into confusion and chaos because of the delay due to the public posturing by the two parties over government formation.
Mir said while the coalition partners (PDP and BJP) claimed that their alliance was intact and there were no fresh conditions, then also they were answerable to the people for putting them to hardships by creating political uncertainty.
“The people of the state can no longer be befooled and hoodwinked by self created controversies. The ‘Agenda of Alliance’ was nothing but a piece of paper to deceive the people. Even that agenda was not implemented in the 10-month rule, as is evident from the assertions of the PDP which is seeking fresh assurances to save face,” Mir said.
