Geelani, Malik call for strike tomorrow; Mirwaiz appeals for Friday protests
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani have called for a strike tomorrow to protest against the fresh killing in Kupwara district of north Kashmir.
Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has appealed for protests after Friday prayers.
A spokesman of the JKLF, quoting Yasin Malik, appealed people to observe a complete shutdown against the killing of Jahangir Ahmad after being hit by a teargas shell in Drugmulla area.
He also appealed people to hold protests after Friday prayers.
In a statement, Geelani also appealed for a state-wide shutdown against the killing and use of force on protesters in Kupwara.
