Restrictions in Srinagar today
The authorities have decided to impose restrictions in some parts of the city on Wednesday in view of the shutdown call given by separatists against the killing of two youth in Handwara town.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone said restrictions will be imposed in parts of the city that fall under jurisdiction of six police stations, including Rainawari, Nowhatta, MR Gunj, Khanyar, Safakadal and Maisuma.
He said the Sikh community, celebrating Baisakhi festival tomorrow, will be allowed to move during the day.
“Sikhs will be allowed to move in view of the Baisakhi festival,” he said. (KNS)
