Avoid overloading or face action : SP Traffic
Dushyant Sharma, Superintendent of Police (SP), Traffic (Rural) Jammu, has told presidents and members of transport unions to avoid speeding and overloading in public transport vehicles or else stern action would be taken against them.
He added that mostly public transport vehicles used shrill horns and also violated route permits which was a violation of the Motor Vehicles Act and warranted a deterrent action.
The SP directed the members of the unions to stop such practices which caused inconvenience to people and strictly obey traffic rules.
Members of the transport unions were told not to display “Superfast” boards on their vehicles to catch the attention of passengers and ply vehicle at a very high speed.
