Male passengers in Ladies Special Bus!

Many male passengers were spotted travelling in Ladies Special Bus on Tuesday here, raising questions about monitoring of the exclusive facility for the females.

“I was shocked to see only men on board a Ladies bus bearing registration no JK01Y-0631 bound from Haztrabal to Lal Chowk via Rainawari. I followed the bus and intercepted it near Nowhatta,” said Faiz Wangnoo, a youth from Nigeen locality.
Following the complaints, police offloaded the male passengers from the bus.
SP north city Sajjad Khaliq Bhat said “I directed cops to take up the matter with SRTC so that they can initiate departmental action against the driver.”
RTO Kashmir Farooq Ahmad said “we have received a complaint against the SRTC driver. I would take up the issue with MD SRTC so that the female folk could not face as such problem in future,” he said.
SSP Traffic City Maqsood-ul-Zaman said he did not receive any such complaint. I would raise the matter with SRTC authorities.
He however, appreciated the timely action of youth.
