Srinagar needs infra development: Altaf Bukhari
Former Minister and Amirakadal MLA Altaf Bukhari on Monday stressed on the need for a fast-paced development in infrastructure in Srinagar city.
Addressing a party convention at Mehjoor Nagar in Srinagar, a spokesman quoted Bukhari as saying that there was a strong need to ensure a sustainable infrastructural development across the state. In Srinagar, it should match the standards of a modern city in the country, he said.
Bukhari said that efforts were on to make this constituency as a model in the state. “As you know there was a huge developmental deficit in this constituency when I took over as MLA, but with the grace of the god, Amirakadal has witnessed a change in all sectors, including roads, health care, education, power and recreation during the last one year,” Bukhari assured the convention. While obtaining a firsthand appraisal on the status of party’s membership drive in the constituency, Bukhari asked the party cadres to gear up and take measures to reach out to the people and strengthen the organisation at the grass-root level.
