First evening flight from Srinagar to take off today
The much awaited evening flight by any airline will finally take off at Srinagar Airport on Wednesday. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will flag off Srinagar – Delhi GoAir G8-228 flight at 6:40 pm at Srinagar airport.
The service is considered as the milestone in the history of civil aviation in the J&K State.
The travel trade fraternity has welcomed the step and hoped that other airlines would also follow the suit.
“It is the historic day of the State as evening flights will start from Srinagar airport. We have been demanding operation of evening flights for long and now GoAir has finally fulfilled it. We are hopeful of its success. Other airlines should also follow the suit,” said Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) President Manzoor Siddiq.
Evening flights is expected to increase the high-end tourist and business class flow to Kashmir who are short on time.
