People who voted Drabu to power bigger sinners than him: Asiya Andrabi

Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Syeda Aasiya Andrabi, on Sunday said that a person who helps a sinner is worse than the sinner itself.
Andrabi was hinting at the State Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu, for his anti-ban views on alcohol.
“We must introspect that who we are voting to power. We must know the person who how Drabu to power is a bigger sinner than him,” Andrabi said, while speaking at a one-day seminar “Shahr-e-Ramadan-Shahr-e-Al-Qur’an” organized by the DeM here in Srinagar.
“Pro-India politicians belonging to any party have nothing to do with Islam,” she said.
Meanwhile Andrabi said that the only way to get rid of the present day oppression unleashed on Muslims was to follow to the teachings of Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
She was speaking at a one-day seminar “Shahr-e-Ramadhan-Shahr-e-Al-Qur’an” organized by the DeM here in Srinagar.
She said that the reveal of the Qur’an in the month of Ramdhan made this month the most pious months. “Allah SWT terms this month as his month and the blessings in this month are boundless only if we adhere to what the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad SAW ask us to do,” she said.
She said that the purpose of sending the Qur’an to the people is that they act upon it as it is the complete and perfect guide for the whole humanity. “The Qur’an is the perfect guide for us to follow. It is a complete guide which leads the humanity from darkness to light,” she added.
She said that it was unfortunate that Muslims have forgotten the teaching of the glorious Qur’an. “Do we have any idea how great responsibility this glorious book is. It is a great thing to memorize it fully, but it demands that we should act upon every single verse of this book. We must know the greatness of this book, this book was revealed on the Imam of all Prophets and we are his followers,” she added.
