Wakf demolishes illegal structures at Kathidarwaza; LAWDA undertakes demolition at Saida Kadal, Nigeen

Wakf Board today demolished several illegal structures at Kathidarwaza area in Shaher-e-Khaas which had come up on its land.
“Some unscrupulous persons had taken undue advantage of ongoing unrest in Kashmir and constructed illegal structures on Wakf land,” said an official of Waqf Board.
He said that the demolition drive was undertaken in presence of a magistrate while police assisted the authorities to make the drive successful.
“We warn the miscreants not to construct any sort of illegal structure on Wakf property or encroach upon it land,” he said.
Peer Muhammad Hussain, Vice Chancellor Wakf Board said that any illegal activity on the Wakf property would be dealt with strictly under law.

Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) through its Enforcement Wing today demolished 13 illegal constructions at Ashaibagh, Saida Kadal and Nigeen areas which were raised under the garb of present unrest.
“The people residing within the LAWDA jurisdiction are hereby directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions. Moreover, all the Tipper, load carrier owners are directed not to carry/ferry any sort of construction material in the prohibited area of Dal, Nigeen Lakes without permission,” an official statement said.
