Thousands throng Hazratbal to have glimpse of holy relic

Thousands of devotees from across Kashmir thronged the Hazratbal Shrine on Friday following Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) to have a glimpse of the holy relic.
Thousands of devotees including men, women and children visited the Hazratbal shrine to offer prayers and have glimpse of the holy relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which was displayed after every congregational prayer.
More than 50000 people offer Friday prayers at the shrine to have glimpse of the holy relic.
The religious congregations were held at different shrines across the Valley. The Imams and religious heads threw light on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) during the Friday sermon.
Authorities had made special arrangements to facilitate movement of devotees to Hazratbal shrine.
Hundreds of private and SRTC vehicles ferried the devotees to the shrine.
Reports said that congregational prayers were also held at Asari sharif Kalashpora, Jenab Sahab Soura, Lal Bazar, Pinjoora Shopian, Khiram Sirhama in Anantnag, Seer Hamadan, Kaba Marg Qaimoh and Aham Sharief Bandipora in north Kashmir.
