Bank robberies a game-plan to malign militants: Lashkar-e-Toiba
Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba on Friday denied that militants were involved in cases of bank robberies in Kashmir.
In a statement, a spokesman of LeT Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi said the outfit doesn’t believe in heist.
The LeT statement comes days after incidents of bank robberies by unidentified gunmen took place in areas of South Kashmir.
“Robbing banks is not the work of militants. Honesty, truth and serving Kashmiri people is our core trait. This is an Indian agenda to malign us and has been planned in New Delhi,” he said.
Such tactics are bound to fail like they have failed in the past, the spokesman said.
“India is running from pillar to post to malign the symbols of freedom. It is using brutal force and spies for her nefarious schemes,” Ghaznavi said, adding: “Indian media is also censoring Kashmiris’ voice and painting their struggle in negative light. We believe India is bound to fail. The sacrifices of Shuhada (martyrs) will never go in vain. Freedom is round the corner. India is being humiliated.”
