Several Students arrested during clashes in Tral

At least seven students were detained during clashes between students and government forces in Tral township of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
Witnesses said that the students of Boys Higher Secondary school and Degree College Tral staged protests and pelted stones on an army vehicle at Bus Stand Tral.
Police deployed in the area used tear gas to disperse the protesting students, triggering clashes.
Witnesses said that at least seven students were detained during the pitched battles between students and police.
Shopkeepers lowered their shutters and traffic disappeared from the roads, triggering shutdown in the area.
