Srinagar records hottest night of season

Srinagar recorded the hottest night of the season so far at 22 degrees, three degrees above normal, while there was no respite from hot and humid weather during the day in the Kashmir.
A Met department official rain and thundershowers could occur at isolated places during the next 48 hours in valley.
He said Srinagar recorded the hottest night of the season after mercury surged and settled at 22 degrees, against 21 degree recorded yesterday.
The night temperature was around three degrees above normal.
Meanwhile, the hot and humid temperature continued during the day despite prediction of rain at isolated places in this summer capital.
The mercury during the day yesterday was 33.7 degrees.
The hottest day recorded in Srinagar was on June 5, when mercury surged and settled at 34 degrees.
The day temperature in Gulmarg witnessed a surge.
Against 21 degrees, the day temperature yesterday was 22 degrees, which is 2 degrees above normal.
