‘How much more wait for K-solution?’
“We have been waiting for a Kashmir solution for the past six decades but it has always eluded us. How long do we have to wait more? Can we expect a light at the end of the tunnel?” National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah asked Satinder K Lambah at the seminar.
In reply Lambah gave a succinct reply: “We hope so. We are making the effort. As for the light we will have to wait till it comes.”
Later, when the seminar ended, Abdullah on his way out told the audience that there was little hope from the back-channel talks. “All of us Kashmiris will be dead and India and Pakistan will still be talking to resolve Kashmir,” he quipped.
