Hurriyat (G) reacts to PDP’s stand

Terming statement of Peoples Democratic Party regarding West Pakistan refugees as “indistinct and archness”, Hurriyat (G) Monday said that instead of adopting any clear stand regarding this issue PDP advised Modi government not to take any hasty decision as “it can have serious consequences.”
In a statement Hurriyat (G) spokesman said, “New communal government of India has made plans to change the demography and the Muslim identity of the state and instead of resisting it, the local mainstream parties have adopted a sorrowful policy which is a condemnable act. Recommendations of the Indian parliamentary committee regarding the permanent settlement and giving the voting rights to the West Pakistan Refugees is not any surprise but the long pending and a set agenda of RSS and now after 60 years they have got a chance to practice it and with the help of ruling party BJP, they want to erode the demographic status and Muslim identity of the Jammu & Kashmir.”
“The statement of the PDP is actually an advice to the BJP that not to act in haste and progress with caution. Mainstream parties of Jammu & Kashmir are doing their politics over the issues like Article 370, Autonomy, Self-Rule but if we minutely observe the facts we will find that these parties are not only responsible for the slavery of the people of this state but they are solely responsible for the weakening of the article 370 and have never took this issue seriously. If there would have been little bit of sincerity in their politics they could have passed a bill in the assembly to restore the special status of the state but they use these slogans merely for the vote bank politics and deceive the simple people of the state,” he claimed.
The spokesman alleged that the NC, PDP and other other local mainstream parties act as a bridge between the ‘control of Jammu & Kashmir and India and their “existence and power politics has become a hurdle for Kashmir struggle.”
“There is no difference among mainstream politicians and none of them is a lesser or bigger evil. They are only concerned with the chair and to grab this they accept no principles. They can sell the whole Kashmiri nation for this purpose,” Hurriyat (G) spokesperson said.
He said Hurriyat (G) once again cautions that if any attempt is made to implement the parliamentary committee recommendations regarding the refugees, it will be ‘resisted tooth and nail and every Kashmiri will stand against it’.
