NC writes to governor offering support to PDP
National Conference on Tuesday wrote a letter to J&K governor NK Vohra offering support to PDP for government formation in the valley.
Former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah tweeted that NC has extended support to PDP, the single largest party in the state with 28 seats.
The core group of NC yesterday decided that it will not ally with the BJP for government formation but reiterated its offer of support to regional party Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the purpose.
As none of the parties or combination of parties staked claim for government formation, Governor’s Rule was imposed on January 9 after Omar asked to be relieved of the caretaker chief minister duties.
