‘Indian agencies’ issuing threat posters to ‘break will’ of Sopore residents, says Kashmir’s GeelaniHurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Thursday said that “Indian agencies” were circulating threatening posters in Sopore town to break the will of the residents.

“Sopore has always remained a matter of concern for Indian policymakers and that is why they are hatching conspiracies in the form of posters surfacing in Sopore town,” Geelani said in a statement.

Sopore, he said, has set an example and that it has become a role model for the freedom lovers.

“They (policymakers) want to terrify the people with the fake organizations and want to spread anarchy here.

“These posters although issue dictations under the garb of Islam and the Shariah but a simple Muslim also knows this fact that Islam has neither been spread with the help of force in the past nor is it possible to change the ideologies of the people by power in future also,” the statement quoted Geelani as saying.

Expressing his sorrow and surprise over the threat warnings to the people related to the telecommunication, cable network and other professions, Geelani said that everything has good and bad aspects and it is up to the discretion of the person how he uses that thing.

“The threat posters have affected the business of a large section of the society so, we are rightful to understand that the Indian secret agencies are directly or indirectly involved into all these processes and they want to punish the people of Sopore for their deep affiliation with the freedom struggle of Kashmir,” he said.
