BOSE in ‘plagiarized’ book row‘A Textbook on Economics & Disaster Management- a module of Social Studies,’ prescribed by BOSE has contents allegedly copied from the internet.

“Maximum portion of the book has been copied from different websites,” a BOSE official acknowledged. Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar, said the matter will be looked into.

“We are reviewing the text books to make them more purposeful and more communicative. We will try to overcome the lacunas if there are any,” the minister said.

Secretary BOSE, Veena Pandita, said the book has been compiled by a team of Professors whose names were approved by former Chairman BOSE, Nutan Kumar Resutra. “But that is not the issue. The team consists of good experts,” she said.
