NC to resist any misadventure on fiddling with Art 35A: Rana

Cautioning against the machinations to fiddle with Article 35A of the Constitution of India, Provincial President Devender Singh Rana Tuesday said National Conference will fight tooth and nail all such nefarious acts.
NC to resist any misadventure on fiddling with Art 35A - Rana“Any infringement with the special status of the State will amount to backstabbing the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions”,  Rana said at a simple ceremony at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan held in connection with the taking over of the new presidents of Youth National Conference and Women Wing Jammu Province and District Jammu Rural (B).
He said that after failing to deliver on governance front, the BJP was attempting to hoodwink the public opinion by inciting passions and resorting to rhetoric. “Article 370 in its totality is irrevocable and those thinking in terms of weakening it by fiddling with 35A were day dreaming”, he said while warning the peace inimical forces not to play with the interests of the state and its people.
Reiterating the stand of National Conference stand on Article 370, Rana said this is a  formidable bridge between the State and Union of India, which had been incorporated in the Constitution after due thought. Impairing this provision will amount to weakening the strong bonds between the state and the country, he maintained.
He advised the PDP-BJP coalition against any misadventure in the wake of failures on all fronts and said these will boomerang. He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir would resist all such designs which are detrimental to the uniqueness of this state.
The Provincial President exuded confidence that National Conference will reemerge as a force to reckon with and said that realization dawning over people in the wake of PDP-BJP government’s abject failure on all fronts have changed the political dimensions in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the people were looking towards National Conference with hope and the party, which has all along remained in forefront for their legitimate cause, cannot afford to be a fence sitter.
Rana said the failure of the PDP-BJP alliance leaves a lesson for those believing in hoodwinking the public opinion by indulging in falsehood and rhetoric.
