Police implicating youth in fabricated cases - HizbA day after Jammu Kashmir Police claimed to have busted a militant financing module by arresting three of its members and recovering Rs 17.5 lakh of Indian currency and 33 fake gold pounds from their instance, militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Tuesday said police has not only been harassing innocent youth in Kashmir but have also been ‘implicating’ innocent youth in the name of Hizbul Mujhadeen.
 “We condemn the arrest of three innocent youth in Kulgam by police. All three youth- Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmed Kambay and Muhammad Iqbal Khan are innocent and have no affiliation with Hizbul Mujhadeen,” Hizb spokesperson Salim Hashmi said in a statement.
He said hundreds of youth have been arrested by police. “Police accuse them of working for Hizb but later on it gets proved that arrested persons are innocent. Police has let loose a reign of terror in Kashmir and it is making every effort to break the resolve of people and to suppress the movement in Jammu and Kashmir,” the Hizb statement further read.
