Suspension of Geelani’s passport handiwork of anti-Kashmir elements: Nayeem

Terming the suspension of Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani’s passport as “handiwork of anti-Kashmir elements in Srinagar and New Delhi”, Jammu Kashmir National Front (JKNF) Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said,  it has exposed the “hallow claims” of Indian democracy.

He further said, “Indian case vis-à-vis Kashmir is very weak that is why New Delhi does not take chances about allowing Kashmiri leadership to travel outside India.”
Khan in his statement appealed Kashmiri Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with simplicity and reach out to the victims of oppression.
“We must remember kith and kin of our martyrs and those in jails on Eid,” Khan said.
About the Court order banning the sale and consumption of beef, Nayeem  Khan said, “Muslims have to follow only the commandments of Shariat and no one on earth can poke his nose in the religious issues of Muslims.”
He in his statement paid tributes to late Muzamil Ahmad of Chitterpora Shopian, who he said was killed by forces in Kawni Pulwama yesterday.
He expressed solidarity with the parents of late Muzamil Ahmad and said “precious sacrifice of their son will be protected at all cost”.
