Sagar aghast over conferring award to Jagmohan
‘He was mastermind of every massacre in Kashmir’
National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar Tuesday said that he is shocked and surprised how come Government conferred highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan to former Governor Jagmohan who was the ‘mastermind of all massacres’ in Kashmir Valley.
Sagar told CNS on phone that awarding an infamous and notorious man like Jagmohan depicts moral bankruptcy. “Whole world knows how Jagmohan butchered people in Kashmir and how he planned and organized things to put people of Kashmir in trouble. Jagmohan played major role in mass migration of Kashmiri Pandits from Valley to Jammu,” Sagar said.
He said that it has become a trend in India to confer awards on political basis. “Jagmohan was the production of pro-communal forces and he also remained Minister during NDA rule. It is absurd on part of India to glorify those who perpetrated crimes in Kashmir Valley,” he said. (CNS)
