What did PM tell you? Sajad, Faisal question NC’s meeting with PM

People’s Conference chairman Sajad Lone and Peoples’ Movement president Shah Faesal have questioned NC leaders’ meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday ignoring the demand for an all-party meeting with the PM.

NC leaders Farooq Abdullah, Hasnain Masoodi and Omar Abdullah met the Prime Minister in view of the “panic and anxiety” in Kashmir following rumours about abrogation of Article 35A of the Constitution.

“What on earth happened to the supposed collective action? Is it a rush for brownie points or a mercy petition for economic crimes? The innocent people of Kashmir will never know,” Sajad said in a tweet.

Faesal, the bureaucrat-turned-politician, regretted that the NC leadership ignored their demand of an all-party meet with Modi while questioning if the party was cozying up to the Prime Minister a day after the Enforcement Directorate questioned Farooq.

“It seems that the NC was in a hurry to score a point or may be the party wanted to cozy up to the PM in view of the recent inquiries against the party leadership… we had proposed that the NC and PDP should lead an all-party delegation to the PM and seek his assurance over Articles 370 and 35A, as also the delimitation,” Faesal said.
