The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) and Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote tourism and tourism products in the state.
As per the MoU, IRCTC and JKTDC will jointly explore areas of co-operation and draw up detailed plan for promotion of tourism. The key areas of co-operation would be development of joint Rail Tourism products, marketing of other parties’ products/services to their own customers, using of various catering and hospitality outlets/budget hotels, etc. at railway and non-railway locations, development of lounges/meet and greet services for tourists, offering event management services, etc.
